Root Canal Therapy

Root canal therapy is a common dental procedure that is used to save a damaged or infected tooth. The procedure involves removing the infected or damaged tissue from inside the tooth and then filling and sealing the tooth to prevent further damage.

What the Procedure Involves

During your root canal procedure, our provider will first numb the area around the tooth to be treated, next they will drill a small hole in the top of the tooth to access the infected or damaged tissue inside. We then use small instruments to remove this tissue and clean the inside of the tooth. Once all infected and damaged tissue is removed your dentist will fill and seal the tooth to prevent further damage.

100% Pain Free Therapy

Since the procedure is performed under anesthesia, there is no pain associated with a root canal. However, a root canal is generally a bit sore or numb after the procedure, and can even cause mild discomfort for a few days. We typically mitigate this discomfort with medication (depending on the patient’s history)
